Two young people discuss the ins and outs of traditional Chinese kitemaking. Nearly 200 expats in Beijing, inlcuding foreign diplomats, staff from embassies and chambers of commerce and international students, learned how to make traditional Chinese kites at Yuanmingyuan, or the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, on April 28, 2013. The event, the fourth session of this year's large-scale "Beijing Salon-Experience Beijing" cultural activity series, offered foreigners a great opportunity to learn more about Beijing's unique culture, history and customs. The series, held on a monthly basis, is hosted by the Beijing Foreign Cultural Exchanges Center and Beijing This Month magazine. [Chinanews.com]
