During the past weekend, about 1,500 volunteers participated in a 24-hour public event named "Communication without Language" in 798 art zone in Beijing. Held by Beijing Rehabilitation Association of Autistic Children(BRAAC), Art Child and AOAart studio, this activity exhibited paintings by autistic children and a 4-meter-long picture scroll jointly completed by autistic children and people who care about them.

Nowadays, there are 70 million people affected by Autism around the world. In China, one out of every 166 children is diagnosed with the disease, which impairs their ability to communicate.

Professionals working on this area hope the society can give more attention on autistic children and get to know how to treat them and their families in the right way, and to enter their "lonely world" to help them show their value.
