The 7th Beijing Fringe Festival will kick off on September 2.

The festival, which runs until September 28, will present a total of 50 top-class works from 12 countries and regions in 10 theaters and art centers in the capital city. 31 of these works have been performed in China, and another 10 have been staged abroad.

The festival, launched by its art director Meng Jinghui in 2008, is an occasion which showcases youthful theatrical productions. It has become one of the biggest theater festivals in China.

Lectures, forums and workshops will also be held during the festival.
