The 2015 Beijing-Milan High-end Creative Design Promotion was held in Milan, Italy on May 29, 2015. This event is an integral part of the Beijing Week economic and trade exchange activities of Milan Expo 2015. It is sponsored by the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision & Administration Office of Beijing Municipality, with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT Beijing) as the co-organizer. Approximately 40 institutions and 60 people from well-known design enterprises will participate, including Beijing Media Network (BMN), Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group, Beijing Cultural Investment Development Group, Beijing International Advertising & Communication Group, Dongdao Creative Branding Group, ShangBa Culture Group, Associazione Interscambio Culturale Italia Cinese, Rainbow Group and Giovannoni Design Company.

It is reported that the promotion is themed "Seek Opportunities Together for a Creative Future" and consists of four parts: address by guests, design work unveiling, thematic promotion, and discussion and exchange. Gehua Cultural Development Group will take advantage of the Expo as a platform to present the design trade fair to the world as a part of Beijing Design Week, so as to attract more design companies with international prestige to Beijing and increase the capital's international influence as a design center. Dongdao Creative Branding Group, a top design company in China and a well-known one in the world, will showcase China's design culture in the fashion design community of Milan to help them understand oriental creativity. With its unique advantages in the field of design, ShangBa Culture Group focuses on building a home of Chinese and European designers, establishing a platform for them to exchange and cooperate and promoting +86 cultural and creative products to the world. As a high-end enterprise of wallpaper design, Beijing Watico International Co., Ltd. has cooperated with Italian and other European enterprises in various fields over the years, collecting many modern European cultural relics and works. On this promotion, it will not only continue to promote its unique charm in wallpaper design, but also build Xiba River Left Bank Cultural Community which imitates Western castle and European life with real-life scenery to establish an exhibition platform for cultural exchange between China and Europe and to make it a window for Beijing residents to learn European culture.

It is learned that winners of "2015 Dongdao Cup Creativity Competition for International College Students" will be officially announced and their works will be presented on this promotion. The activity is hosted by Dongdao Creative Branding Group and College of Arts and Media, Tongji University, co-organized by universities in Italy, Germany, UK, US, Finland, etc. The activity is themed "Food Safety Determines Human's Existence" and free creativity. Students from over 100 universities such as Tsinghua University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Akademie der Bildenden Künste München in Germany, Politecnico di Milano in Italy, University of Westminster in the UK, Columbia College Chicago in the US, Shih Hsin University in Taiwan will participate in the activity, generating buzz across the globe. The international jury including China's top designers comprehensively graded and awarded students' works. First exhibited in China Pavilion in Expo Milan, Italy, the winning works will be on an exhibition tour in Chicago, Weimar, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, etc.

Nearly 20 Beijing enterprises such as Beijing Media Network (BMN), Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group, Beijing International Advertising & Communication Group, Beijing Cultural Investment Development Group, etc. will participate in this High-end Creative Design Promotion, 90% of which are cultural enterprises whose business involves design service, culture and arts, radio, film and television, works of art trading, advertising and exhibition, culture and tourism, etc. World-renowned organizations and design companies in Italy, including the largest culture and creativity enterprise Rainbow Group in Italy, top design enterprise Giovannoni Design Company, the largest wallpaper design company Zambaiti Group, Associazione Interscambio Culturale Italia Cinese, etc., will participate in the promotion.

The culture and creativity business delegation will not only attend the exchange fairs in Beijing and Milan, but also meet with organizations such as cultural department of Lombardy government and Associazione Interscambio Culturale Italia Cinese, and visit the top design enterprise in Italy Giovannoni Design Company and Zambaiti Wallpaper Design Company, etc.

Over the years, Beijing municipal government has highly valued cultural reform and development, taking the lead to make the significant strategic decision of developing culture and creativity industry in the country in 2006 and actively promoting fast growth of culture and creativity industry so that key cultural enterprises increased every year, culture consumption got more dynamic, and international competitiveness steadily rose. In 2014, Beijing's culture and creativity industry achieved 279.43 billion Yuan added value, composing 13.1% of Beijing's GDP, which was the highest in its history; large enterprises in culture and creativity industry achieved a revenue of 1102.9 billion Yuan, 9.5% increase compared with the same time last year. Beijing's import and export volume of cultural trade totaled over $3.53 billion, with import over $2 billion.

At a new starting point of development, Beijing is actively exploring and moving forward along the path of new international cities, which offers more opportunities for extensive cooperation for Beijing and other countries in the world. Beijing takes advantage of Expo Milan, a platform for multilateral international exchange and cooperation, to show its development achievements in scientific and technological agriculture, creative design, eco-tourism and related industries in the international arena, which establishes a platform and offers opportunities to expand international market and develop culture trade for cultural enterprises. By holding the 2015 Beijing-Milan High-end Creative Design Promotion to organize Beijing's leading and influential cultural enterprises that provide creative design service to communicate in-depth with related Italian enterprises, seeking opportunities through various forms such as promotion and negotiation, State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision & Administration Office of Beijing Municipality contributes to the cooperative projects, accelerates good culture and creativity products to go global and pushes internationalization and branding of Beijing's key cultural enterprises.
