Beijing Normal University (BNT) has begun offering China's only doctor's degree in Science Fiction Literature, and Jiang Zhenyu is the first to take up the challenge.

Actually, in 2003, BNT began enrolments for a master's degree of Science Fiction Literature and remains the country's only university to do so.

However, since there is no matching industrial sector for students to enter after graduation, the major has found it hard to recruit enough students, normally enrolling one to three each year.

Despite this, Jiang has strong confidence that, with the development of science fiction movies in the near future in China, a market for talents must rise accordingly. This is also why BNT decided to offer the doctorate.
